The 24" x 6,000 LB Colt Back End coil feed line equipment is an efficient and reliable used machine, manufactured in 1996 by Colt. It features a combination of entry and exit pinch rolls alongside a 7-roll straightener with 2½” diameter smooth chrome rolls. This unit handles a maximum material thickness of 0.065” mild steel at a width of 24”. It is powered by a 5 HP motor operating at 440 volts, 3-phase, and 60 Hz, capable of reaching a maximum line speed of 140 feet per minute (FPM). The feed direction is designed from left to right, ensuring streamlined and effective processing. The Colt reel model CR-60-24 PNP supports coils with a maximum weight of 6,000 lbs and a width of 24”, with a coil outside diameter (OD) of up to 60”. The reel is equipped with a 4-leaf mandrel pad and hydraulic expansion, adjustable within a range of 14-19”. This machine can function autonomously or in conjunction with a straightener due to its 3 HP gear motor, which allows it to run in powered mode when paying out into a loop, or using its clutch to disengage the gear motor in pull-off mode using the mandrel shaft air brake.
